About the role
- Deliver on front-end work of Platforms’ and Public data space
- Work with business areas to understand project requirements and provide technical advice to the business analysts to ensure project feasibility
- Along with the team, scope, build and maintain frontend interfaces and webpages across a variety of both internal and external facing platforms
- Develop high quality, performant, semantically correct, and accessible web interfaces using React and TypeScript
- Lead and oversee the work priorities of the frontend team, providing coaching and mentoring
- Ensure the sustainability of development work across projects to a high standard by implementing best practices and procedures
- Maintain project configuration and updating the stack when appropriate (Create React App/webpack/other bundlers etc.
Technical Requirements of role
- Strong experience with version control systems (git)m and with building accessible web applications
- Demonstrated experience with the React Library for building modern web applications
- Strong understanding and passion for TypeScript
- Demonstrated experience with the React Library for building modern web applications
- Passion for React Hooks
- Experience working in a scrum/agile teams in large organisation(s)
- Experience evaluating accessibility conformance and support for assistive technology
- Experience designing and developing accessible data visualisations
- Experience publishing and maintaining node modules (npm)
- Experience with working from User Stories & Acceptance Criteria
- Ability to quickly learn about complex business environments
- Familiarity with SAS programming
- Familiarity with the SAS Visual Analytics product
About you
- Possess demonstrable leadership experience in leading a team to successfully deliver major projects
- Competency, or ability to develop competency, in consistently applying assessment tools to identify support needs
- Positive contemporary attitudes to people with disability, with an understanding and knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals
- Experience in building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work within a team, whilst supporting the development of team members
