Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Analyst / Actuary to join their specialist Insurance and Actuarial team. This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
The team provides specialist risk and actuarial expertise on insurance risk, capital risk and a range of technical and industry matters. The team works closely with other parts of the business to ensure that all products are financially sound as well as being competitive and efficient.
This is a high-profile role working alongside other specialists and responsibilities include:
- Identifying key industry and insurer risks
- Assessing practices and recommending improvements
- Contributing to the development of prudential standards and guidelines
- Engaging with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders to develop and deliver quality insurance and actuarial advice.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Highly developed technical expertise, preferably in private health or general insurance.
- Substantial organisational, self and priority management skills.
- The ability to demonstrate well-developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
