Senior Actuarial Manager – Pricing & Forecasting

A leading financial services organisation operating across Australia, the Philippines, and the United States is seeking a Senior Actuarial Manager – Pricing & Forecasting to join its Analytics leadership team.
This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for pricing, forecasting, and performance optimisation across a large and complex portfolio. Reporting directly to the Chief Analytics Officer, you will play a critical role in maximising returns from asset acquisition and driving data-led decision-making at executive and board level.
The opportunity
You will lead end-to-end pricing and reforecasting activities for debt ledger acquisitions, oversee forecasting frameworks used for financial reporting and operational planning, and manage a high-performing analytics team. This role combines deep technical expertise, commercial judgement, and people leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end pricing activities including due diligence, data analysis, modelling, documentation, and presentation to senior stakeholders.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve pricing frameworks, models, tools, and methodologies.
- Prepare management and board approval papers for pricing decisions.
- Review post-bid performance and drive continuous improvement in pricing accuracy and win/loss outcomes.
- Own and maintain the reforecasting framework for portfolio performance.
- Deliver regular reforecasts for financial reporting, budgeting, and performance evaluation.
- Develop and enhance real-time forecasting algorithms based on historical and current performance.
- Forecast key operational drivers including collections activity, productivity, costs, and revenue.
- Present forecast outcomes and insights to senior leadership.
- Build, lead, and develop a team of analysts and specialists.
- Set clear accountabilities, KPIs, and development plans.
- Drive capability uplift, engagement, and performance across the team.
What you’ll bring:
- 10+ years’ commercial experience in analytics, pricing, forecasting, or modelling roles.
- Strong analytical background gained in a commercial or consulting environment.
- Hands-on experience with SAS, SQL, Python, R, or similar tools.
- Advanced statistical and modelling capability.
- Strong Excel skills for performance analysis and visualisation.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Degree qualification in a quantitative discipline (Actuarial Studies, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Science, or similar).
