An excellent opportunity to work with a leading global reinsurer in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be a key member of the APAC Valuation team, assisting in all valuation related activities across the APAC Life and Health business.
About the role
- Production of quarterly reserves on applicable basis, capital solvency position for SII and other valuation tasks
- Provide insight into observed experience, propose base changes and quantify associated financial impacts
- Play a key role in the actuarial and valuation related systems, and contribute to cross- functional projects
- Conduct modeling conversion and implementation for inforce treaties and validation
- Collaborate with different teams to streamline valuation process
About you
- Qualified or nearly qualified actuary from a globally recognized actuarial association with at least 7 years of experience in Life (re)insurance
- Strong knowledge of one or more reporting regimes, IFRS17 experience is a plus
- Proficient with VBA, R, SAS and knowledge of AXIS or Prophet
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and independently under pressure
