Our general insurance client is seeking an actuarial analyst to join their team in a varied role working across reserving, pricing, portfolio monitoring and underwriting.
About the role
- Work closely with the actuarial team to develop and maintain pricing models.
- Provide insights into potential risks specific to the Australian market and recommend strategies to mitigate them.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations for senior management.
- Provide actuarial support on product development and propose adjustments to existing products based on performance and market conditions.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Studies and pursuing exams.
- Prior actuarial working experience in general insurance would be highly regarded.
- Proficiency in actuarial modelling software and statistical tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an understanding of the Australian business environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
