Our client is a multinational insurer looking for an actuarial analyst or a newly qualified actuary to join their pricing and analytics team.
Responsibilities:
- Performs technical pricing analysis for flow business and structured products. Assesses the viability of proposed commercial rates
- Performs analysis and analytics of portfolio composition and performance to assist in managing the business
- Assists in the preparation of management reporting to the business
- Assists in the development and maintenance of new models supported by specialist modelling teams and performs model runs for existing models
Requirements:
- Newly Qualified or progressing to qualification as a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of prior experience within the general insurance industry
- Specialist skills in Actuarial pricing and analytical techniques highly desirable
- Strong inter-personal skills and willingness/ ability to function as member of a multi-disciplined, international team
- Experience in LMI and/or banking would be highly regarded
- Proficient with modern programming languages\software such as Python, R, Data Bricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Office products and advanced Excel skills.
