Initial 12-month rolling daily-rate contract available for a Director of Data Platforms
Our client is an established organisation in the insurance domain who strive for positive social outcomes for Australians. They are looking to recruit a Director of Data Platforms to manage the organisation’s Enterprise Data Warehouse. The business is making large investments into upgrading a range of core systems alongside an on-prem to cloud platform migration program.
Key Responsibilities includes:
- Set a strategic direction for new projects and existing BAU activities relating to the organisation’s EDW
- Lead several technical/product managers who, in turn, run a data warehouse engineering team of 25+
- Work with external vendors and play a role in defining future technical stack and software
- Work collaboratively with multiple technology, business and analytics teams
About you:
- Experienced Manager/Senior Management experience running teams with ownership over Data Engineering, Data Platforms or EDWs
- Strong expertise in the management of either on-prem or cloud data warehouses
- Experience working with executive leaders and directors
- Technical knowledge across Teradata, SAS beneficial
- Experience with cloud data warehouse infrastructure beneficial
- Ability to create and enhance a collaborative team culture
- Good leadership and communication skills
